Cart Policy

The Old Course: walking is not permitted. Carts are seasonally permitted onto the fairway at a 90 degree angle, no carts on par-threes. The Ocean course: walking is permitted. Carts are seasonally permitted onto the fairway at a 90 degree angle, except on the par-threes and holes 2, 14 and 16.

For Mobility Impaired Golfers

SoloRider golf carts are available for use on both the Old Course and the Ocean Course. The specially designed carts have supporting rotary seats that enable mobility impaired golfers to enjoy a round of golf. Unlike other carts, they are lighter in weight and can be used on tees, greens and other areas of the course. Reservations for a SoloRider should be made in advance. Weather or course conditions may affect use.

Dress Code

Appropriate golf attire should be worn at all times on the golf course and practice areas. Tank tops, tee shirts, cutoffs, and jeans are not considered appropriate attire. Tennis shoes are acceptable. Metal spikes are not encouraged. Replacement spikes are available for a nominal fee.

Rain Policy

The golf courses do not close due to inclement weather. Unless Half Moon Bay Golf Links deems the course unplayable, players are responsible for full payment, regardless of weather, unless the course is closed.

Pace of Play

In order to be fair to all players on a course at any one time, we have a set pace of play at 4.5 hours for 18 holes. Should a group be consistently out of position the group may be required to skip a hole(s) to regain proper position, for the enjoyment of the rest of the field.

Individual Reservation & Cancellation Policy

Tee times may be made up to 45 days in advance and will be held with a valid credit card. Notice of cancellation must be received 48 hours in advance of scheduled tee time or full rate will be charged.

Tournament Terms & Conditions (Groups of 16 or more)

All TOURNAMENT & GROUP RATES include greens fees, golf carts, personalized golf cart signs, scorecards, welcome letters, event scoring, proximity markers, and between $15 and $25 per player merchandise credit to be used in the golf shop or in the form of gift certificates depending on the package. Group Clinics and Putting Contests are available for an additional cost.

Exact player count must be made 21 days prior to the date of play. Shotgun starts must have a minimum of 72 confirmed players. A minimum of 112 confirmed players is needed for a group to occupy the entire golf course. 72 player shotguns will be allocated half of the golf course or 9 holes. Full payment is required on confirmed player count.
Complete cancellation of event must be made 30 days prior to the event. Rental clubs must be reserved 2 weeks in advance.

No food or beverage may be brought onto the premises. Boxed Lunches are available through Mullins Bar & Grill at 650-712-2205. For groups of 40 or more players, a $25 per player food and beverage minimum is required.
Deposits are non-refundable thirty days prior to the event. Checks, Visa, MasterCard or Amex are accepted.
All fees and purchases must be paid in full on the date of the event. Separate player payments will not be accepted.

Loss or Damage Waiver

Guest/client agrees to hold Half Moon Bay Golf Links and San Mateo Links Corporation harmless for damages to persons or property or lost or stolen items. Guests liable for damages to persons, agents, and property of HMBGL and neighboring properties.
